E- Motions

Emotions are just energy in motion. E motion But often it feels as if our emotions are running us. We’re happy or sad or annoyed, we’re in a rage. This is commonly considered normal human experience. We are humans, so there is a lot of energy in our emotional beings but this emotional pendulum swing is not required to be fully in your human experience. Such an experience actually keeps you from your greatest level of fulfillment In the yoga philosophy this kind of mood swing is called “commotionality”. 

We live in a society that hypes moodiness and commotionality as normal human interactions. Between reality TV, TikTok, social media we are inundated with messages about the messy, crazy, emotional, spastic norms of human experience, and at the same time there is a stereotype of spirituality, where spiritual people are so even keeled that they are somewhat boring and robotic, or even a bit wet noodle-y. There is, however, a middle path of utter connectivity to your emotional energy spectrum, a deep sensitivity and awareness that allows you to hold onto energetic space as a buffer from habitual reactivity.

Emotions are your feelings. Commotions, however are the disharmonious relationship with your feelings. Emotions are just like a rain cloud passing by rain. Clouds are a natural function of atmosphere and weather every once in a while when will occur it’s just normal weather cycles and beyond the clouds, the sun is always shining. Not to be cliché, but it’s one of the environmental constraints of this planet even during the night. This is the same for your constant connection to steadfast and energy in life and that connection, particularly with the remembrance of what that connection in challenging or triggering moments gives you a buffer of awareness and choice . 

Our commotions are the freak out we have about the rain. It’s the song and dance about the rain cloud and how it’s going to ruin some aspect of your current day or life. It hasn’t even started raining yet but we’re still making a huge to do about it. That’s commotionality, it’s how most people relate to their emotional spectrum. 

Emotions are just pure energy. So if you can in a moment, relax yourself see a rain cloud and determine okay a rain cloud is passing by. You know, it’s nature it could rain. It could be all sorts of things. Let’s inhale, exhale and look at that it’s actually beautiful and now it’s past and it’s sunny again, that’s right you could experience the rain cloud, directly and instantaneously as beautiful and useful. If you related your emotions that way think about how much more energy there would be in a day to do the things you know you have to do before you die. 

What if you use the energy of emotional being to propel as a leader as a creative and as a person inspired to live whatever you came here to live when you recognize that your emotion is just energy, you can utilize that energy in a way that might be beneficial to you, and moreover, beneficial to all of humanity.

Bio Electricity of emotions

One of the challenges of being skillful about how you’re going to use your emotional energy is an ingrained magnetic pattern in your psyche and mind. Your psychomagnetic field is like a weather pattern that you have to live in and unfortunately or fortunately the people closest to you and anyone who spends time with you throughout a day also, have to live in it. Your psychomagnetic field goes through all normal weather fluctuations, but when your psyche is in harmony, you are naturally healthy, mentally, physically, and emotionally, so radiant and intuition begin to form shield of sorts that protects from negative and external flows 

Now, when you go through a trauma, loss, or even just a mild event that caught you in a sensitive time, it’s really common for a disharmonized emotional reaction to get lodged at a particular coordinate in your psyche as a glitch. When this glitch starts to calcify and catch more energy around it - think of a hurricane anytime any kind of emotional trigger in your life hits that glitch or storm - you’re going to respond the same way. Without some consciousness shaped around the habitual response, the glitch will try to complete the same magnetic pattern over and over throughout your life, whether or not the situations hold any similarity to each other, or even to the original event that caused the glitch,. Because we are ultimately computerized in our subconscious operating systems input in a certain way will always run the same response program. 

That pattern is mostly beyond your conscious awareness and is actually looking for and creating ways, situations, or people to allow it to run through it cycle. So doesn’t matter if your boss gives you a compliment or your spouse does that thing you hate - if the situation hits your glitch the same response will arise. It could be like a perfect spring day or cyclone season and you’d be you’d still be subconsciously preparing for a volcanic eruption. 

One of the reasons its so hard to break out our emotional pattern is that we have not, as humans, been given effective tools to demagnetize these glitches, and therefore see them as such - which does make it seem in insurmountable or hopeless. You might at least have developed the wherewithal to know that you want to change your emotional responses, but have noticed that once some outside stimuli hits the glitch it’s very difficult to control your response. 

So then lets dive deeper into tools to help with this…and start rewiring the system.
